6th China International Exhibition And Forum on Solid State Lighting (CHINA SSL 2009)
Against a backdrop of global energy shortages and increasingly stringent environmental requirements, the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games impressed the watching world by showcasing the applications of high luminosity LEDs. Meanwhile, the 2010 Shanghai World Expo will summon another upsurge in new applications. Indeed, the current rapid development of the solid state lighting sector will yield applications that challenge our current expectations, with the value chain of the LED industry being extended from manufacturing alone into the application and service sectors, thus playing an ever increasing role in social development. China SSL 2009 will focus on both the long-term prospects of the solid state lighting sector and the current negative impacts of the global financial crisis, and examine the various different ways in which the new opportunities and innovative developments of SSL can be grasped, including technology, patents, standards and certifications, markets, capital and industrial alliances.
